Location: M54 Space Centre, Halesfield 8, Telford TF7 4QN
Working Pattern: 19.5 hours per week over 3 days. Monday attendance is required, with the other two working days and daily hours to be agreed to suit operational needs
We are looking for a reliable and practical Handyman to join our team at M54 Space Centre. Reporting to the Building Centre Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the presentation, safety, and smooth operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Litter picking and maintaining external areas
- Sweeping and keeping communal areas clean and tidy
- General grounds maintenance, including lawn mowing and weeding
- Carrying out minor electrical tasks, such as changing light bulbs
- Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Decorating and touch-up works
- Minor carpentry repairs
- Taking monthly utility meter readings and recording tap temperatures
- Conducting weekly fire alarm tests
- Providing general support to the on-site management team, including assisting with administrative tasks during holiday periods
- Undertaking other duties as required to support the effective operation and appearance of the centre
About You
- The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience in a handyman, maintenance, caretaking, or facilities role - Be able to carry out a variety of basic maintenance tasks confidently and safely
- Take pride in maintaining high standards across the site
- Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Have a positive and flexible approach to work
